About this bison plush
Bison are the animal people remember from Wind Cave National Park. The free roaming herd of roughly 350 to 400 animals moves across the mixed grass prairie above the cave, and an early morning or evening drive through the park usually turns one up. This 12 inch plush from Wild Republic is an easy way to send a kid home with the part of the trip they liked best.
Wild Republic has been making wildlife plush for decades out of Twinsburg, Ohio. The build is simple and holds up: soft polyester outside and surface washable care for animals that actually get played with. Wild Republic states that this one exceeds CPSIA (USA) and EN71 (EU) safety standards.

The Wind Cave herd
Wind Cave has one of the earliest bison restoration herds in North America. It began in 1913 with 14 animals transferred from the Bronx Zoo. It is not one of the largest herds in the country, and that was never the point: it is one of the oldest, and the park has kept it going for over a century.

The 8 inch is the other option at $13.99. The 8 inch travels well and fits in a daypack. The 12 inch reads better as a gift or a shelf piece.
Can it be washed?
Surface clean only. Wipe with a damp cloth and mild soap, then brush the pile back up once it dries. Do not put it in a machine.
