Description
About this bighorn sheep
Bighorn sheep were present in the Black Hills long before European settlement, and today small herds have been reestablished in the region. The animals are spotted occasionally near Deadwood and in terrain around Jewel Cave National Monument, and they range across parts of the Black Hills National Forest. Males carry the distinctive curved horns that make the species immediately recognizable.
The Petting Zoo’s Wild Onez line is a common fixture in park and nature center stores across the country. This 8″ bighorn sheep sits in a natural pose with the floppy, curved horns the species is known for, and its brown coat has enough texture and detail to hold up next to the real thing in a kid’s memory. It’s one of the few bighorn plush options that reads as regional wildlife rather than a generic sheep.

Gift buyers looking for something with a regional connection. Bighorn sheep are specific to the West, and the Wild Onez line is carried at park stores and nature centers rather than big-box retail.
How to care for it
Spot clean with a lightly damp cloth and a small amount of gentle soap if needed. Air dry only. Do not machine wash or submerge. The recycled-fiber fill can clump if it gets saturated with water.
