Description
What is this sweatshirt?
A navy crewneck pullover in a soft cotton fleece blend, made by Concept 360 for Black Hills Parks and Forests Association. The Jewel Cave badge is printed in a faded, distressed style, so it reads as a shirt you have owned and worn for years rather than something fresh off the shelf. No hood, no zipper, just a classic crewneck with ribbed cuffs and hem.
The art is the reason to own it. The badge is built like an old park sign: a snow-dusted mountain ridge and a row of pine trees along the top, a red banner reading Jewel Cave, a navy strip reading National Monument, and South Dakota at the base, all wrapped in a gold outline. On the back, the lower half of the badge opens into a cave-tour scene. Five people stand in silhouette on a railed walkway, looking down a passage that glows orange and gold, the cave walls rendered in red and rust. If you have taken the Scenic Tour, you will recognize the moment.
What is on it
Two prints. A small crest on the left chest, about the size of a name badge, for the front. The full badge with the cave-tour scene runs large and centered across the back. Both are printed in the same faded, weathered style.

Size and fit
Cut as an adult unisex sweatshirt with a standard, room-to-move fit. If you are between sizes or want to layer under it, size up. The fleece has real weight to it, closer to a midweight sweatshirt than a thin pullover.
Who is this for
Anyone who has walked the Scenic Tour and wants the cave scene on their back. It also works as a straightforward cool-weather layer for the Black Hills, and as a gift for a caver, a park volunteer, or someone checking Jewel Cave off their list. The faded print keeps it casual, not loud.
Frequently asked questions
What does the back graphic show? The full Jewel Cave badge with a cave-tour scene in the lower half: five people in silhouette on a lit walkway, looking down a passage that glows orange, with red and rust cave walls around them.
Is this a pullover or a zip-up? A pullover. It is a classic crewneck sweatshirt, no hood and no zipper.
What is it made of? A cotton fleece blend, 80% cotton with 10% polyester and 10% recycled polyester, brushed on the inside for softness.
How does it fit, and is it unisex? Yes, it is cut as an adult unisex sweatshirt in a standard fit, sizes S through 2XL. Size up if you want extra room or plan to layer.
How do I wash it without wearing down the print? Turn it inside out, machine wash cold with like colors, and tumble dry low. Do not iron the print. The design is meant to look faded, so normal wear only adds to the look.
Is it warm enough for a cave tour? Jewel Cave stays cool year-round, in the upper 40s Fahrenheit, so a fleece layer is a good idea underground. This one does the job on the tour and in the parking lot after.
Where is Jewel Cave? In the Black Hills of South Dakota, on US-16 between Custer and Newcastle, Wyoming. It is the third-longest cave in the world, with more than 220 miles surveyed.
Does buying this support Jewel Cave National Monument? BHPFA is the official nonprofit partner of Wind Cave National Park, Jewel Cave National Monument, Scotts Bluff National Monument, and Agate Fossil Beds National Monument, as well as the Black Hills National Forest and Nebraska National Forests & Grasslands. Proceeds from every purchase support education programs, conservation projects, and visitor services at these sites.
