Description
What is the Smokey Bear charm keychain?
This is an officially licensed Smokey Bear accessory, made in the USA. Three small metal charms sit on a metal ring attached to a 2-inch carabiner clip. The charms show Smokey’s head with his signature yellow flat hat, Smokey standing with a shovel, and a pine tree. Each charm is about 1 inch and coated in resin to protect the designs from scratching and everyday wear. The carabiner comes in assorted colors (red, green, or black, randomly assigned).
The whole thing weighs half an ounce and measures about 4.5 inches long. It clips onto a backpack, belt loop, or jacket zipper without adding any noticeable weight.
What’s included

Who is this for?
Smokey Bear fans. If you grew up with “Only You Can Prevent Wildfires” or you just like the bear, this is an easy way to carry that around. The charms are small enough to be subtle but recognizable to anyone who knows Smokey.
Hikers and campers. The carabiner clips onto a daypack, gear loop, or jacket zipper. At half an ounce you won’t notice it’s there. Practical and a good conversation starter on the trail.
Gift buyers. Under $10, small enough to fit in a card or stocking, and you don’t need to know anyone’s size or color preference. Works for kids and adults. The open ring means the recipient can add more charms later if they want to build a collection.
Frequently asked questions
What do the three charms look like?
One shows Smokey’s head with his signature yellow flat hat, one shows Smokey standing with a shovel, and the third is a pine tree. Each is about 1 inch and coated in resin over metal.
Can I add more charms to it?
Yes. The ring opens so you can add or remove charms. If you collect Smokey Bear accessories, you can build it up over time.
Is this officially licensed?
Yes. This is a USDA Forest Service licensed Smokey Bear product, manufactured by Impact Photographics.
Is the carabiner strong enough for keys?
It holds keys fine. It’s a standard accessory-grade carabiner, not a climbing-rated one. Don’t use it for anything load-bearing beyond keys or clipping to a bag.
How big is it?
About 4.5 inches long and 1 inch wide overall. The charms themselves are each about 1 inch. Total weight is half an ounce.
Is this OK for young children?
The charms are small metal pieces on an open ring. Use your judgment with younger kids. This is more suited to older children and adults.
