This is a great book for enthusiasts of the great outdoors whether for work or play. It has photos, physical descriptions, where the plant might be found, common names, even plants it might be confused with. This is my second copy of the book because I’ve worn mine out toting it around in my pack for years. I bought it for work, but I ended up taking it on family hikes and camping trips as well.
Nice and simple descriptions, with a glossary and index plus it’s the right size to carry. I probably should have purchased a spare!

The Naturalist who is teaching our Master Naturalist Certification Class highly recommended this book to us and she was right! This is a very good publication on grassland plants of the northern plains.
