What are White-tailed Deer Fawn Mini Building Blocks?
A 187-piece building set that snaps together into a young white-tailed deer with the spotted coat of a fawn, thin legs, and a small display base. Pieces are durable ABS plastic (CPC safety certified, non-toxic). The box includes a printed step-by-step instruction sheet. No glue, no tools. Open the box and start building.
Impact Photographics makes these under The Mini Block brand. The pieces are smaller than standard building bricks (think nano blocks), which is what lets the finished model pick up detail like the white spots along the back and the tucked-in legs at this size. The assembled fawn stands about 3 1/2 inches tall and 4 inches deep, good for a desk, shelf, or bookcase.
White-tailed deer are the most common large mammal across the country BHPFA supports. You will find them at dawn and dusk through the meadows and pine forests of the Black Hills National Forest, along the prairie edges at Wind Cave National Park, in the bluff country at Scotts Bluff National Monument, and across the Nebraska National Forests and Grasslands. Fawns are born in late May and June, usually as twins, and keep their white spots through summer for camouflage. A doe leaves her fawns hidden in low vegetation while she forages, so a fawn you see alone is not actually alone. This set lets you build one at home.

Kids 7 and up. The pieces are smaller than standard building bricks, so younger builders in the 7 to 9 range may want a parent close by for the thin-legged sections. Older kids can follow the diagrams on their own. Good rainy-day activity at a cabin, campground, or lodge.
