BHPFA has teamed up with SheJumps to offer outdoor skills workshops for women & girls
We welcome all women and girls! SheJumps strives to fight against racism and acknowledges that our events and programs take place on traditional, unceded Indigenous lands.
SheJumps Mission:
SheJumps increases the participation of women and girls in outdoor activities. Partnering with nature, SheJumps creates educational outdoor experiences for girls and women that nurture growth and transformation.
Where it started:
SheJumps was founded by three friends who rallied around the idea of, “If she can do it, so can I.” Whether skiing or climbing, SheJumps wanted to celebrate the accomplishments of women from beginners to pro athletes and provide them with a support system where they would feel confident taking jumps (risks) and try something new.
In July 2007, Co-Founder Vanessa Pierce, organized SheJumps’ first event: 14 women climbing the Grand Teton, the largest group of women to that date. From that point it has become a community for women in all walks of life with programming across the nation.
