Black Hills Parks & Forests Association held their 3rd annual youth art contest for elementary-age students this past spring. The 2022 theme “Water is Everywhere” celebrated the importance of water, and the winning artwork has been made into a traveling display that can be viewed at locations around the Black Hills during the summer. The D.C. Booth Fish Hatchery is hosting the display until July 16, 2022. Stop in to check out the creative art and pick up a free postcard of the winner’s artwork!

Here is the complete list of dates and locations the traveling display can be viewed:

June 24- July 16: The D.C. Booth Fish Hatchery, Spearfish, SD

July 18-August 14: The South Dakota Outdoor Shop, Custer, SD

August 15-September 16: The Mammoth Site, Hot Springs, SD

September 29-October 1: Custer State Park Buffalo Round-Up
