Agate Fossil Beds National Monument is planning to host wood carver Leonard Yellow Horse, August 30-September 1, 2025, from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the monument visitor center, located at 301 River Road, Harrison Nebraska, 69346.
Leonard Yellow Horse is an enrolled member of the Oglala Lakota. He lives on the Pine Ridge Reservation. Born in Chadron, Nebraska, Mr. Yellow Horse is a self-taught artist. He fashions cottonwood tree roots into faceless figurines based on his native people.
