Winter Counts with Marty Two Bulls Jr. | Agate Fossil Beds NM

Artist and educator Marty Two Bulls Jr. comes to Agate Fossil Beds National Monument to discuss his work and the Winter Count project he helped develop with the Oglala Sioux Tribe. His talk, Winter Counts, traces his artistic career, including his artist residency at the Sanford Underground Research Facility and his role as artist laureate for the Oglala Sioux Tribe.

Two Bulls lives in Rapid City, South Dakota. He holds an MFA from Bard College and a BFA from the Institute of American Indian Arts in Santa Fe. His work has been exhibited nationally and internationally, and his pieces are held in several museum permanent collections. He is an artist laureate for the Oglala Sioux Tribe and a United States Artists Fellow.

This free program runs about an hour and takes place inside the monument visitor center at 301 River Road, Harrison, Nebraska.
