What to Know:
Join Ranger Coral to hear Lakota star knowledge stories shared by the National Park Service and learn why Wind Cave is regarded as a sacred place. As the prairie sky darkens over the amphitheater, the connections between the land above and the cave below come into view.
About the Wind Cave evening programs: These free programs are presented by National Park Service rangers at the Elk Mountain Campground amphitheater in Wind Cave National Park. Each program begins at 9:00 pm and lasts about an hour. Programs are free, open to all ages, and no registration is required. Bring a blanket or camp chair and dress for cool prairie evenings. The amphitheater is at the Elk Mountain Campground, off US Highway 385 north of Hot Springs, South Dakota. Programs may be canceled in poor weather.
