Watch Leonard Yellow Horse demonstrate wood carving during Christmas on the Prairie at Scotts Bluff National Monument on Saturday, December 5. The holiday event runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Mountain Time.
Yellow Horse will also sell Native-inspired nativity scenes. The larger event includes holiday ornament making, pioneer games, a Family Nature Club program from 10 to 11 a.m., and bluegrass-style holiday music by Jay and Amanda from noon to 1 p.m. Refreshments will be provided by Black Hills Parks and Forests Association.
