SUMMARY:The Secret Life of Mammals
DESCRIPTION:Part of our Premium Education Experiences at our new Headquarters and Nature Shop in downtown Custer.  \nWant to know what coyote howls\, yips\, and barks are saying? And that’s just the start of what you will learn. Cougars routinely swim over a mile through cold ocean waters to reach islands where the deer are easier to hunt. Pronghorn can run 55 mph with more stamina than any other animal alive. They picked up that speed running from an American cheetah that went extinct a long time ago\, and never lost it. \nJoin us for a 2.5 hour look into the hidden lives of the mammals sharing the Black Hills and other parts of  North America with us. We’ll explore what these animals are actually doing out there\, backed by slides and video\, and you’ll leave with quite a few stories you didn’t have before. \nWhether you grew up here or you’re visiting for the first time\, The Secret Life of Mammals will leave you looking at the wildlife around you quite differently. \n$15 per person or $40 for groups up to four. \nIf you are a member\, please enter your code at checkout for an additional %15 discount. \nWalk-ins welcome but because tickets are limited\, we suggest that you save your seat by purchasing your tickets ahead of time. \nThis event will be held on December 5th from 2pm to 4:30pm at the Black Hills Parks and Forests Association Nature Shop at 833 Mt. Rushmore Rd. Custer\, SD.
