This special ranger-led tour begins at 12:45 p.m. on Tuesday\, October 27\, during the Theodore Roosevelt birthday fee-free day. \nThere are 20 tickets\, available first come\, first served. Check ticket availability at the visitor center; a calendar listing does not reserve a place. \nThe tour follows the Scenic route\, rather than the summer Historic Lantern Tour route. The regular Scenic route covers about half a mile and 734 stairs and is rated moderately strenuous. Wear fully enclosed shoes. Confirm any special requirements with the park. \nMeet at Jewel Cave’s visitor center\, 11149 U.S. Highway 16\, west of Custer.
