DESCRIPTION:Animal tracking and signs at Wind Cave\nLearn to read tracks\, scat\, rubs\, and other wildlife signs in this hands-on workshop with BHPFA Education Specialist Tom Tonkin. \nWorkshop details\n\nSaturday\, November 14\, 2026\, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Mountain Time.\nMeet at the Wind Cave National Park Visitor Center\, 26611 U.S. Highway 385\, Hot Springs\, South Dakota.\nFor adults and children ages 8 and up.\n$25 per person or $65 for a group of up to four participants. Members receive 15% off with their code at checkout.\n\nWear walking shoes and bring clothing layers for changing fall weather. \nChoose an individual or group ticket below. And that’s just the start of what you will learn. Cougars routinely swim over a mile through cold ocean waters to reach islands where the deer are easier to hunt. Pronghorn can run 55 mph with more stamina than any other animal alive. They picked up that speed running from an American cheetah that went extinct a long time ago\, and never lost it. \nJoin us for a 2.5 hour look into the hidden lives of the mammals sharing the Black Hills and other parts of  North America with us.
