DESCRIPTION:Agate Fossil Beds National Monument is planning to host wood carver Leonard Yellow Horse\, August 30-September 1\, 2025\, from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the monument visitor center\, located at 301 River Road\, Harrison Nebraska\, 69346. \nLeonard Yellow Horse is an enrolled member of the Oglala Lakota. He lives on the Pine Ridge Reservation. Born in Chadron\, Nebraska\, Mr. Yellow Horse is a self-taught artist. He fashions cottonwood tree roots into faceless figurines based on his native people.

The Friendship Tower is a symbol of Seth Bullock and Theodore Roosevelt’s relationship and the lasting impact it had on Black Hills National Forest. Taking inspiration from Bullock and Roosevelt we will explore symbiotic relationships in nature—how different species coexist and support one another to thrive in the Black Hills.
